Health & Safety At Pots & Paws.  Your safety—and that of your family, friends, and furry companions—is our top priority. We’re committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. Here's how we keep things running smoothly:

  • Eating While Painting: To keep your pottery looking its best, we kindly recommend not eating while you're painting. Even small amounts of grease or food residue on your hands can prevent glaze from properly adhering to your piece, which may affect the final finish. Feel free to take a break and enjoy your food before or after painting—we promise your seat will be here when you get back!

  • Studio Cleanliness: All tables, tools, and materials are thoroughly cleaned between sessions. Paints and glazes are non-toxic and food-safe once fired. Handwashing and sanitising stations are available throughout the studio.

  • Dog-Friendly, But Considerate: We welcome well-behaved dogs, but ask that they stay on leads and off tables. Water bowls and treats are provided.

  • Food & Drink Safety: We follow all relevant food hygiene standards when serving drinks, snacks, and treats. Food is prepared and served in a separate area from painting materials to avoid cross-contamination. Allergens are clearly labelled, and staff are happy to help with any dietary needs—just ask!

  • Kiln Safety: Our kiln area is safely sectioned off and accessible only to staff. All pottery is fired by trained team members following strict safety procedures. If you have any concerns or accessibility needs, we’re here to help—just let us know. Your comfort, creativity, and safety mean everything to us.
